STILL Scratches after buffing out the metal (jewelry)?
I sanded with 3 grits of wet/dry sandpaper (400, 600, 1500) and after i buffed it with 3 compounds (tripoli, white diamond, rouge) it still has scratches. I mean they look like surface scratches just a crapload of tiny scratches everywhere. How do i get an even finish? Should i sand like a bunch more??? (and i have the softest buffing wheel for the rouge)
emery paper IS sandpaper
You may need to try emery paper http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emery_paper
In any case, you can't leave a step if it has not reduced the scratches/texture over the previous step. In this case you will have to go back several steps and make the scratches as fine and random as possible then take them out in the next step. http://www.ottofrei.com/store/home.php?cat=823
