Well first off I only understand some of your questions so here it goes
1. You can not color synthetic hair.
Animal hair is not cool
Human hair will color fine
2. Those are called low lites
3.Converting dark hair to light

5.Texturizing the hair removes unwanted bulk
6.Porosity is what I think you are trying to ask about. Coloring changes the porosity of the hair
