What is the best way to seal acrylics on wood?
I have made a basic painting on pine wood. I gessoed it and then painted. The paint will not chip off (I tried just to see how it was holding up). But I would still like to seal it, so It can be wiped off when it gets dusty. This will only be hung on a wall, its not functional like a chair or something.
I have Krylon low odor clear finish, but its a latex based spray. I'm wondering how it will react to the acrylic.
I also have deco art triple thick brilliant gloss glaze.. now I know this works with wood and acrylic but I don't want it glossy.
Is there something else I should purchase, or is the krylon efficient enough?
Doing mixed media??? I do a lot of Mixed Media art and there are a couple ways,Varnishes Mediums or Pastes all will work, but Pastes will shape your art, id recco a Gloss Varnish which can be removable or non removable, just be sure to choose non removable. Liquitex makes one an Cryla as well.
You can get a mid range gloss, like a MATTE MEDIUM which wont give you the gloss effect you dont want.
