Can I replace the plug on my washing machine?
The plug on my washing machine is fused i.e. it came connected to the cable and does not screw off like a regular plug. Is it OK to cut the cable and put a normal plug on it as I need to drill a hole in the counter top and feed the cable up through. This is not possible with a fused plug so I need to cut the cable and put a another plug head on there. Is this OK to do?
It shouldnt be a problem, If you can perhaps you can replace it with a fused plug??
There are all sort of options available to the DYI person.
Just consult with the local electrical goods supplier first, at least they will give you what you need and info on what plug to use
