My Son keeps killing animals around the neighborhood, what should I do?
I'm all out of idea's. He's skinning cats and nailing dead squirrels to porches (I'm serious) and I'm more than a little concerned. I'm not sure why he does it but I dont know what do to. Every since me and my wife adopted him, we agreed to a strictly supportive environment. So we havent approached him about it and we're not sure how to. We want him to express himself artistically, but I'm not sure if you'd call this art. We're not sure if we should allow him to continue or not though, because on the down side, its really gross and cruel. But on the plus side, animals dont have souls anyways and we dont have as many raccoons digging through the trash. Help!

You should get him to a psychologist asap. This is one of the symptoms of antisocial personality disorder (also used to be known as sociopathy) which is the disorder that many serial killers have. Antisocial personalities are said to be "without a conscience".
"The profile of an early sociopath always includes some form of violence. This usually is seen as involvement in physical fights and using weapons such as bats, broken bottles and knives. Cruelty to animals is another common feature. A child may harm or even kill an animal and show little to no remorse for his actions.
Prognosis
Without early intervention, this condition can lead to incarceration, substance abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, rape and even suicide or homicide. While there is no way to prevent antisocial personality disorder, early intervention may address the underlying issues that are causing the misbehavior and slow down the disorder's progression."
This is not artistic expression. This could be a sign of something much more serious, please get him help. Standing by and allowing him to mutilate living creatures is not supporting it is enabling.
