Love of a man & a woman - God?
Bismillah & Asalamualikum Warakhmatualhi Wabrakatuhu!
[I posted this question earlier but I wasn't clear]
Is there limit set to this love by God? Are there rules from God for the love between man & a woman? And I say... I will stop loving you when a deaf painter will be able to paint the sound of a rose petal falling on a crystal floor!
Why is it that we can word our love for humans but never for God? If we love a human being we simply say I love you to express our love and they know we mean it, but I don't feel I love you is enough for God. I love God more than anything and everything, I can express my love to those around me but I can never put it in words for how much I love God. If I begin to write a love letter for those whom I love it flows through my pen and I can do it but when I pick a pen to write about God and my love for Him I can't even put a dot on the paper!

Our love for God does not have to be written or even expressed as He already knows our hearts and the amount of love we have for Him. I am sure there are many talented poets who could set and write about love of God, but if it is not in their hearts and actions it means nothing.
The best way to show our love for Allah is to obey Him, and to do that we simply have to follow the Quran and Sunnah. He gives us so much and asks so little in return.
And when you think about it, the best way to show love for another human is to love them for the sake of Allah. That way you are truly loving them because you love Allah.
