Decoration tips required?
I have got to redecorate the entire house, everything has to be redone from the skirting, kitchen, bathroom, etc. Where do I start?
I also might need rewiring, should this be done before I start to decorate?

Rewire first....
Start at the top, but ensure you have a bolt-hole for the breaks you need.
Get one of these.....will save hours....

Water stains on ceilings can be blocked ...white oil based undercoat, covers all sins.
Remember, unless you prepare well you are wasting material, so power sand the skirtings (use wire wool for mouldings) When you have finished preparation, then fill any marks, Painting order....Ceiling, Woodwork (primer as required, undercoat (light rubdown) Undercoat, topcoat, topcoat...4 coats) then walls as you want...paper or emulsion.
I never use turps to clean brushes, always 'paint brush restorer' and have a nice clean &dry brush for next time.
